Prenatal Massage
Prenatal Massage can help reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains, and improve sleep. Swedish Massage is the recommended massage method during pregnancy because it addresses many common discomforts associated with the skeletal and circulatory changes brought on by hormone shifts. As with any therapeutic approach to pregnancy wellness, women should discuss massage with their prenatal care provider.
Prenatal Massage (side-lying position)
A side-lying position is a very soothing, comfortable position in which most people sleep, so it is very calming physically and psychologically. When side-lying, the therapist has easy and safe access to all areas of the body to treat those aches and pains commonly experienced during pregnancy.
Prenatal Massage with Cushion (prone position)
This patented design provides ultimate support for pregnancy massage, breast discomfort, or lower back pain during face-down massage treatments. A perfect option for the third trimester, stomach sleepers or sleeping on your side has given you hip pains while pregnant.

Hot towels and warm stones are placed on the body to warm those tense muscles, making it easier to release any tightness or tension in the body. This therapy is also very soothing during those colder fall and winter months and for those who always feel a bit chilly. Some people also find the weight and warmth of the stones comforting.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage
An MLD treatment is unlike receiving a normal massage. The therapist uses gentle hand movements with very light pressure. MLD facilitates the natural flow of lymph fluid through the vessels and can reroute the lymph in areas where pathways may be blocked. This can help decrease swelling from various injuries, enhance recovery of damaged tissues, decrease congestion, and facilitate or even reroute drainage where the flow of lymph fluid may be impeded.
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) can be an effective treatment modality and offer many benefits for those both preparing for or recovering from surgery.
Receiving MLD treatment before surgery helps to prepare the area of the body about to undergo an operation. It does this by stimulating the lymph vessels of the lymphatic system to remove cellular waste products, bacteria, viruses, excess proteins, excess fluid, and any other unwanted substances from the spaces between your cells, essentially cleaning the tissues. The lymph vessels then move the unwanted substances to lymph nodes, which are cleaned and filtered by the immune system.
Three or more consecutive treatments before surgery yield the best results, but one or two treatments are still beneficial.
And then comes the swelling after surgery… While some swelling is very normal and a necessary part of the inflammatory healing process, excessive or prolonged swelling can become problematic, leading to longer healing times, and increased pain can adversely affect scar formation, causing unwanted adhesions and decreased range of motion.
Because MLD is such a gentle treatment, it can be received within days of surgery. Three or more consecutive (weekly) treatments are necessary to reduce inflammation. Once the swelling has gone down, it is time to reduce scar tissue with a series of Myofascial Release treatments.
