We understand your concerns. The safety of our staff and our customers is essential to us. Feel free to ask any of us at any time about all that we do to provide for your safety. We hope you can relax and enjoy your services very soon. These guidelines will be in effect during the pandemic and may be adjusted as necessary, and they will be reduced when safe to do so.

Guests & Staff

Maintain social distancing – always. Spacing between persons in the spa should be at least six feet, except when staff are servicing clients. We will limit the number of persons in our lobby to give a safe social distance of 6ft apart. We recently remodeled our lobby to provide a quiet room that is distant from our front desk and checkout station.

  • We will adjust staff schedules and spa hours as needed to reduce the number of people (staff and guests) in the spa always to maintain social distancing.

  • Please arrive to your appointment no earlier than 15 minutes.

Masks – are required upon entering the spa. Disposable masks will be available for guest use.

  • Staff – Laundered masks will be placed inside staff cubie daily. All masks will be laundered daily at the office. Disposable masks are available if mask becomes contaminated during shift.

Gloves – are available for staff and guests to wear if preferred.

Wash – your hands often. Hand sanitizer will be available upon entering the spa.

  • Staff – wash your hands before and after the service. Please wash upon entering the treatment room with the client on the table. If there is no sink available use hand sanitizer. Wash up to elbows with soap, warm water, for a minimum of 20 seconds.

Clean Spa Environment – We have 15 minutes blocked between appointments to clean and disinfect therapy rooms and common areas.

Client may remove mask inside the treatment room if permitted by their therapist. Staff will be required to wear masks at all times.

Symptoms – All staff and guests showing any signs of the virus are asked to stay home:

  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fever/Chills
  • Sore throat

Temperature checks – we will use a touchless thermometer to check the temperature of staff each day. Any staff member who has a measured temperature at or above 100.4 will be sent home immediately and will not return to work until they have no fever and no evidence of COVID-19 symptoms. Anyone who tested positive for COVID-19 will not be allowed to return to work for at minimum 14 days.

Sick Client or Employee Protocol

  • For everyone’s safety and peace of mind, if any staff or guest exhibits any symptoms of COVID-19 while at the spa, they will be asked to head home and return when they are symptom-free and fever-free for at least 72 hours.
  • If we learn that a staff member or guest who had been in the studio tests positive for the virus all clients will be notified.
  • We will close off all areas used by the sick person, open outside doors and windows to increase air circulation. Close the contaminated area for 24 hours before you clean or disinfect. Clean and disinfect all common areas that were exposed.
  • Therapist are to stop the service if “they” or the “guest” start coughing beyond a tickle of the throat.

Cancellations – we will continue to suspend late cancellation fees if feeling any of the above symptoms. We do ask all guests to call, email or cancel online prior to appointment time. No call no shows will be charged full-service amount.

Water Bottles – front desk staff will provide each client with a bottle of water for less contact/contamination.

Staff Guidelines

Staff clothing – all staff should arrive showered and wearing a clean uniform. Employees must wear a smock/jacket outside the treatment room at all time. All staff should change clothes before entering their homes when they return from work.

Linens – are removed and laundered with a bleach solution after each use. Be mindful of the blanket getting close to head/shoulders. Remove if contaminated.

Couple’s Massage – one therapist will greet and walk guests to treatment room. Second therapist will remain inside treatment room.

Reception Area

  • Wipe reception desk, furniture and counter with disinfectant after each client.
  • Staff should wash their hands or sanitize after using phones, computer, iPads, cash register and/or credit card machine. Wipe these surfaces between each use with Thieves/All Purpose Cleaner or alcohol.
  • Be sure to change gloves or sanitize hands well after each transaction. The use of credit/debit transactions is preferred, using touch/swipe/no signature technology. We ask that you take the credit card from the client and sign for them. Please do not let the client touch the machines. All credit card machines will be moved to the staff side of the desk.
  • Clean and disinfect all retail areas, daily, including products. If guests touch retail without purchasing please sanitize accordingly.
  • Clean and wipe all door handles and other surfaces that are regularly touched by guests and staff with disinfectant.
  • We have provided hand sanitizer and tissues at check-out station, waiting areas and inside each treatment room.
  • Essential oil testers will be removed and placed on the desk and may be used per client request. Disinfect after use.
  • Coffee, granola bars, and mints will be unavailable until future notice.

Treatment Rooms and Workstations

Disinfection

  • Disinfectant for immersion of tools must be mixed daily and replaced sooner if it becomes contaminated throughout the workday. Disinfectant only works on a clean surface so clean all surfaces and tools with hot soapy water and thieves/All-purpose cleaner
  • Clean and disinfect all work area surfaces. Clean and disinfect treatment room after each client including client changing area, floors, counter, towel warmer, head rest, light switches and door handles with alcohol (spray & do not wipe off). Do not use alcohol on vinyl surfaces. Use Thieves/All Purpose Cleaner when alcohol is not recommended.
